Project Overview

Built for Luxury, Engineered for Performance

At the edge of Orlando’s Evermore Resort sits the Conrad Orlando, a new benchmark for Hilton’s luxury brand. With 433 elegantly appointed high-tech guestrooms and suites, a destination spa, event ballrooms, and dining concepts overlooking a 20-acre lagoon, the property was designed to impress. Behind the scenes, ZIO was tapped to ensure that everything from ballroom ambiance to guest room lighting ran on a reliable smart technology infrastructure — built to meet Hilton standards and perform under pressure. The result: a unified experience, elevated by intelligent systems that guests barely notice, because everything just works.

The Challenge
01
The Challenge
Designing and deploying large-scale lighting and AV systems within a luxury property is always complex. For Conrad Orlando, the challenge was heightened by an accelerated timeline, strict brand requirements, and a multi-layered team of architects, contractors, and consultants. Systems needed to be flexible, scalable, and simple to use, without compromising the hotel's refined design intent. Spaces like the spa, event areas, restaurants, and guest suites all required tailored audio/video, lighting and shading, and construction timelines continued to shift. Technology couldn't be an afterthought. It had to be a foundational element of the experience. By taking a fully integrated design and implementation approach, combining technology planning, procurement, installation, and support in-house, ZIO reduced delays and helped ensure that every component worked together without redundancy or inefficiency.
Our Solution

Our Solution
ZIO applied its proven process, extensive luxury resort experience, and holistic approach to deliver guest-centric technology that is elegant, reliable, and remarkably intuitive. By engaging early, aligning with stakeholders, and managing the full solution lifecycle — from design through installation — ZIO ensured that every system worked together seamlessly. Key systems include a centrally managed networked lighting control system with 6,590 lighting zones and 3,741 user interfaces across guestrooms and public areas, AV and lighting integration for ballrooms, meeting rooms, restaurants, bars, and amenity areas, a centrally managed networked distributed audio system with 73 AV zones and 55 user interfaces, motorized window treatments in public areas and suites, and occupancy-based automation for lighting and climate systems.
The Result

The Result
ZIO's integrated systems have made day-to-day operations smoother and more responsive. Resort staff can quickly adjust AV and lighting presets with wall-mounted touchscreens and manage the entire system through an intuitive user interface. Event transitions happen in seconds. And for guests? The technology simply fades into the background, creating spaces that feel responsive, luxurious, and effortless. Personalized room automation improves energy savings and guest satisfaction. Centralized management of AV and lighting spans across 65,000 sq. ft. of public space and 433 guest rooms and suites.
ZIO has been a valuable partner in building a luxury full-service resort. Their attention to detail and ability to work with our design and construction teams to align our needs allowed us to open with best-in-class lighting and audiovisual systems and in budget.
