BACKGROUND
This house located in Kissimmee, FL has the ability to control all electronics from one single interface.

CHALLENGE
The client wanted their home to control all of their electronics on one single interface without complication. While expanding the system, the biggest challenge of the project was the sheer number of change orders. Our needs analysis and engineering process is comprehensive, so change orders are usually kept to a minimum.

SOLUTION
The system is comprised of four Crestron distributed audio zones and three distributed audio/video zones. The video zones include a 5.1-channel media room and two stereo rooms. Five touch panels control the electronic systems through either iPhone or web interfaces and integrate two-way voice control, pool/water feature controls, temperature zones, gate controls and motorized shades. The touch panels are located in the side entry, kitchen, his/her baths, the master bedroom, and media room. Each user interface is presented in the same format, with drop-down sub-menus for video, audio, comfort, lighting, security and pool control. A Crestron lighting control system features wireless exterior and interior dimmers positioned in various locations in the main house. The dimmers allow adjustments to be made to the home’s ambiance. A 42” at panel TV was installed above the replace with a low pro le mount and a 26” LCD TV was installed behind a mirror for the master bathroom.

RESULTS
A client new to the possibilities of an integrated technologies system doesn’t usually understand what’s possible and what it takes to successfully incorporate a system. On this project, each of the subsystems installed in the home were completely integrated into a single interface.
