Work Activities and Duties


Foster relationship with Industry Partners
In order to work on some of the great projects in our community, we must be involved as part of a team.  By building relationships based on performance and trust, ZIO is able to solidify itself as the go-to integration company.  Our industry partners include architects, engineers, interior designers, builders and general contractors, electricians, and other industry professionals.

With technology constantly evolving, we must continually be out educating industry professionals on the value that ZIO can bring to the team. Whether it be lunch & learns, product demos, or social networking, the more we can educate people on technology the easier it is for them to understand why we are a valuable member of the team.

Work with the Sales Team
ZIO’s Relationship Managers are responsible for working with end user clients in order to take them through the project process from solutions design to final installation.  The Business Development Manager should oversee this process to make sure that we are consistently delivering at the high expectations that we set. 

Competencies and Qualifications

The Business Development Manager should possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and characteristics to be successful in this job:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in the Central Florida Area in Business Development in the building industry.
  • Ability to strategically network both during and outside of business hours
  • Should be articulate and able to interact well with clients, as well as other design professionals
  • Works well within a team and can take direction.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
